Not exactly the same update as for Ender 3

This is a worthwhile upgrade, but a far cry from what the TFR was on my old Ender 3 for obvious reasons. (The CR-6 SE already has a 32-bit microcontroller and TMC2209 driver, while the OG Ender 3 was an 8-bit board with unnamed stepper drivers). In terms of features, however, it's worth it if you want to use UART mode and it's a ubiquitous upgrade from the standard board. To be honest if you don't plan on using the UART features I would consider this a good board replacement. in case your original should fail. As always, a great product from BTT, but by no means a game changer.

Pros
  • 2) Main controller uses 32-bit ARM level Cortex-M3 series with STM32F103RET6 chip, main frequency is 72MHz;
Cons
  • old
