Very bright for such a small bulb

I know it's a very good bulb but it didn't work for my application. I was trying to use a daytime running/parking light on my BMW R9T motorcycle. The installation was perfect and it turned on correctly etc. But I kept getting an error message on the display saying the bulb was defective. So I had to erase and go back to my original lightbulb, which is comedy. If there is a workaround to stop the error message, the provider would be greatly appreciated. I didn't want to return these bulbs as I like them for other uses/projects.
