Wireless, yes, but not great

I have another wireless video system that I use to monitor covert traffic behind my RV. The one I have now was made by PEAK and sold by Sam's Club. While the camera and 7-inch monitor were very adequate, the RF transmitter is sub-par and 'cuts out' on the road for no good reason, making it unreliable for watching traffic from behind. In fact, I use a direct connection with great success. , although impractical, given the problems with connection and wiring. I bought a set of these devices in search of the "best" solution. Before I got involved with the wiring and installation in my RV, I tried them in my life. room under controlled conditions. They transmit/receive about 15 feet max at times, and I'm being generous. Video freezes and recovers for no reason, even at about 4 feet away. This is the same or worse operation, I understand current HF system now installed on an RV. I think the technology available just isn't great, probably due to the price and FCC restrictions. Once you've seen the quality of a "hard" connection, it's difficult to go back to the RF solution.
