I know they work because they've saved me a lot of headaches every time there's a power outage. I use smart lighting in some parts of my house and the lights on some circuits lose their memory when turned off. I figured that the surge protector might just be a buffer needed when the power comes back on, but I didn't want the bulky power strip to get in the way. These little gizmos are the perfect size and having experienced several power cuts since I got them I can give them credit for solving my problem. If it's a scam, that little blue light will be BRIGHT. How insanely bright. Luckily for my needs, that's not a problem.
