It really is GREAT! I needed a battery operated candle and started looking around. They fascinated me especially with good reviews. Decided to try and see these. I wasn't disappointed at all. Candles are fun. They are made of wax and come packaged in a strong clear plastic sleeve which I don't wear as it's hard to tell the difference. They are very realistic. The remote control that comes with these candles allows you to program them. They can be programmed for 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours or left on all the time. There is also an option on the remote control to adjust the brightness of the "Flame" or to dim it BUT these alternative options can only be done using the remote control. If you don't want to use the remote control or you lose it, you can always turn it on and off manually. You just won't be able to use the timer or adjust the brightness. The switch is at the bottom. After I received my first order, I liked it so much that I immediately ordered 3 more packs. They are (unfortunately) made in China, which doesn't make me happy, but in this case I won't argue about that. You will need two AA batteries which are NOT included with the candles. The remote control comes with the battery already installed. PLEASE NOTE: Be careful and don't forget to pull out the plastic insert inside the remote control (to protect the battery). If you don't remove it, the remote control won't work.
