Not up to my expectations

Got this for my Frisbee, squeaker loving Doberman. Due to the design, which you can't see from the photo, it has a 1 inch ridge all the way around the bottom and it does not fly very well. It has one squeaker, which I knew before ordering it, but he has yet to be able to squeak it. He does play with it somewhat, but it is just another toy in his toy box. We also ordered the Whirlwheel Flying Disk Dog toy as it had a squeaker in it and is supposed to be used like a Frisbee as well. This is…

Pros
  • Durable, sturdy and our pup loves these
Cons
  • May break or tear under heavy chewing

Best Frisbee for my opinion

We love this frisbee so much. Very durable and that’s hard to find. Both our boxers play with it all the time, normally it will last a year. We even put them in the washer machine.

Pros
  • Soft enough to be used as a cuddle toy as well.
Cons
  • Made with non-biodegradable material

Excellent, my dog loves this frisbee.

Excellent quality. I have tried other frisbees with my dog, with no luck.I think the fact that this one was soft made all the difference.I now have a dog that loves this frisbee and jumps high in the air to catch it.

Pros
  • Durable enough to withstand teeth, claws and biting.
Cons
  • Not as functional as other dog toys

Great Tough Dog Toy

This Frisbee is a really tough toy, just as advertised. Throws well and is soft enough that there are no worries about injuries when being caught.

Pros
  • World’s Tuffest Soft Dog Toy"™ on the market, with up to 4 layers of fabric!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for training exercises

This disc is the absolute toughest, bestest toy for a dog that has tons of energy and loves to chew. We've had ours for over a year now, and it still holds up. It doesn't look all that great after our dog has chewed on it about 20 times a day every single day, but it still works great. Our dog is a demon for chasing and catching the disc, then she'll shake it around just to teach it who's boss, then it's back to the porch for us to give it another throw. I've already won the bet with my wife…

Pros
  • Can be used in water for fun water play.
Cons
  • May not be as durable as advertised for dogs who like to dig

Okay for Inside Play - I guess

If you are looking for a frisbee to throw and catch with your dog outside - might want to keep looking. Cute toy for inside, though.

Pros
  • Best flyer ever made, our dog just loves it
Cons
  • May not be as durable as rubber toys

great product- lives up to name.

only flier my blue cattle dog has'nt destroyed within 2 days of getting it. great product, price and delivery. thank you.

Pros
  • 9.5 x 1 x 9.5 inches; 3.2 Ounces
Cons
  • Can be too stiff for some dogs to enjoy

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not as tough as I had hoped.

I bought this to replace one of the old nylon "flyer" discs that was easily shredded up by my dogs. This one was definitely much more durable, but the edge of it was still shredded and ripped open when my dogs started to play tug with it. The outer edge has a large lip on it like a regular frisbee which gave the dogs a better hold. I think if the seam was more flat like the Tuffy Tug of War toy, which I also have, it would've held together.

Pros
  • Does not easily break or shatter like other toys.
Cons
  • Can be too rigid for some dogs to play with comfortably

Love this frisbee! good for me

We love this soft & more important LIGHT as a feather frisbee! Our dog wants to run and catch his frisbee all day long so this one is ideal. We've had about 3 so far and they last quite a while and can be thrown in the washer to prolong life and stay clean. Great buy too!

Pros
  • Made from highly durable material, ensuring its longevity.
Cons
  • May break or tear after being left outside in the sun

Long-lived and nearly indestructable

Our nine-year-old border collie received this toy as a pup. It's been a favorite of hers and has outlasted all other toys. We finally retired the original after the squeaker croaked and the quilting came apart. Mind you, this occurred after nine years of daily play and tugging. I was happy to find an identical replacement and expect it to be the last one we ever have to buy for our very active dog.

Pros
  • Suitable for both indoor and outdoor play.
Cons
  • Not as entertaining as interactive toys

Great toy! in my review

Have a full size Doberman and a mini-mix that weighs 23 pounds. They both go crazy when i get the fresbe out and can not wait to chase it. They both chew and it has held up well. This is a definite purchase for any active dogs that love to chase!

Pros
  • Well made. It will last for years.
Cons
  • Can be too heavy for small dogs to play with

Worth the $$! best in my review

This flyer holds up to the most demanding Labrador Retriever! She loves it and it is nicely balanced for gliding through the air. Unfortunately, our Lab girl hid the last one in the yard and we recovered it after several weeks in the mud and rain. It was a bit worse for wear, but after five years of almost daily use by an enthusiastic fetcher, I didn't hesitate to buy a replacement for the mud-soaked flyer. We also like it because most flyers are made of plastic-type materials that are easily…

Pros
  • Makes a fun distraction to prevent destructive behavior.
Cons
  • Could cause damage to teeth if used excessively

Holds up for 1 year with our German Shepherd

Tuffy's Ultimate Flyer frisbee is the best frisbee available for dogs that are hard on toys. Our 100+ lb German Shepherd cannot destroy this frisbee, and it is soft enough to not harm him when he catches it. A normal frisbee lasts less than 10 min with him, a regular soft frisbee lasts about a day or two and Tuffy's frisbee lasts over a year. We have the Tuffy's Mega Ring too and it is still in excellent condition after 2 years! Tuffy is absolutely AWESOME. Exceptional product for the price.

Pros
  • Great... Real tuff toy!
Cons
  • Can be too slick for dogs to grasp in their mouth

Indestructible! - my new review

My large drag with big teeth is still playing with this toy and it has been a couple months. We bought a second one so one could be an outside one and have an inside one.

Pros
  • Non-toxic materials used, making it safe for your pup to play with.
Cons
  • Red Paw color may be difficult to spot in grass

Very sturdy toy in my review

Very sturdy flyer toy. It's a little too heavy for my sheltie to catch easily but would probably be perfect for a larger dog.

Pros
  • Border Collie and two Beardies love this toy!
Cons
  • Boring design may not appeal to some dogs

Don't bother unless your dog has no teeth

Worthless. Name Tuffy is deceiving. My medium size border collie had the lip torn off in about 5 minutes and in the trash it went.

Pros
  • Doggie favorite
Cons
  • Can hurt if thrown improperly

Pups love their frisbees!

I have two labs that absolutely love these frisbees. We have two sets, one for home and one kept in our RV. We never leave home without them!

Pros
  • Provides a fun and entertaining way to train your dog.
Cons
  • May lose its shape after repeated use

Revainrating 2 out of 5

lasted one session!

The edges are very easy to chew through, if the dog doesn't return it immediately. I would not rate this as Tuff unfortunately. It flies okay though

Pros
  • October 2, 2001
Cons
  • Could be a choking hazard for small dogs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Long Lasting in my review

I bought 2 for my German Shepherd (red & yellow) who is a frisbee nut! We use these soft frisbees indoors and are great. They fly good and they are sturdy. I've had mine for about 6 months and they are not torn or frayed at all.

Pros
  • VIP Products
Cons
  • May not be appropriate for puppies

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not for dogs that like to chew

This toy only lasted one night with my 1 year old terrier. He chewed the corners off and pulled out the squeaker and stuffing.

Pros
  • Intended for interactive play and NOT for chewing
Cons
  • May not be as durable as rubber frisbees
