Review on 🐠 biOrb Classic Fish Tank by Danielle Rodriguez

My little Betta was doing just fine in his 2 gallon cube on my desk but I really wanted something that looked nicer and was easier to clean. After tracking the price of this 4 gallon tank for probably a year I finally caught it at a good sale price and ordered it. It takes up about the same space as the old, smaller pool but is taller, looks a lot prettier and of course gives my little one more room to explore. I already had some BiOrb plants but I have since ordered the BiOrb Flower Garden decoration kit and am really looking forward to receiving it and seeing how it turns out. If you are new to BiOrb aquariums, transitioning from a non-filter bowl/cube to this one, or have never owned an aquarium before, there are a few things you should definitely know and/or buy: 1. The ceramic substrate (rocks on bottom) that comes with this tank is about half the amount you actually need to cover the bottom of the tank. Seriously, it doesn't even cover the filter, and it looks pretty bad. I bought an extra 2lb ceramic carrier and it helped. Even though the filter does its best to keep the aquarium clean, you still need to change some of the water from time to time. A manual cleaning pump makes this job very quick and easy, and while BiOrb makes one, many other companies make similar ones at a lower price. I took the gravel cleaning kit for the Sungrow .3 aquarium. The included air pump creates too much water movement for bettas, although great for other fish that aren't as sedentary. I used a binder clip to clamp the hose and reduce the amount of air going into the tank. Also, the air pump can be a bit noisy if allowed to bang or move at all. Mine is on the carpet and is therefore completely silent.
