. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES! The instructions can be on two pages. Easy to read. I easily lost about $800 in fish. The standard filter does not work in saltwater aquariums. You have to buy the special one they make for naval tanks. DO NOT USE SAND OR OTHER PILLOWS EXCEPT WHAT YOU GIVE THEM. They also give some good advice on how many fish should be introduced before installing your biological filter.

Pros
  • . Quality construction.
Cons
  • . Slightly crumpled.

Very pretty. for aquariums

I rely heavily on Revain reviews when I shop online so here's mine. The Globe Tank is really nice, but the accessories seem to be quite expensive. I would like a heater, but it costs more than a tank. Multicolored LED lights cost more than the tank itself. Jewelry is expensive and not very pretty, some are plastic and rough. If you can get the next size up (in terms of space and weight because they're going to be heavy) this might be a better option as there's more room for extra-biosphere…

You must be a pro.

I bought this tank a year and a half ago. Everything has started well since then. We added a fish and everything worked fine except the pump was noisy. It was a good night light for my son's room. It didn't take long for the tank to start turning green. I used monthly changing kits, water purification solution and bought moss balls to help. Nothing worked, I put so much money into this stupid little tank. I'm sad because he loves fish very much, but in this time we tried three different types…

great aquarium! for aquariums

I have been active in fish farming for many years. This year we built a new house and just moved. I wanted an aquarium that would fit into the living room decor and contain happy fish. That was excellent! Arrived quickly and was easy to set up. I have a heater and I was able to easily thread the heating cable through the hole in the top. I also bought one of the Biotube plant kits. I recommend buying Biotube polish! It's really easy to keep the outside surface clean and shiny with it! The Eco…

Excellent aquarium - just not overloaded with fish

I have two such aquariums, one at home and one at work. I find them very easy to care for. Instead of replacing the filter cartridge, I simply rinse the sponge in "waste" water and swap out the activated carbon pieces from time to time. I really like ceramic media as they are a great home for "good" bacteria. My aquariums ran fast and I had no problems with ammonia. Since I have cockatiels and they don't like excessive turbulence, I added a valve to the air hose to control the amount of…

Nice little aquarium - my betta loves it!

Great tank, easy to install. 15 is only 4 gallons so finding a heater that won't overheat the tank is very difficult. After some experimentation and constant monitoring, I've found that the 7.5W flat Aqueon works well and keeps the temperature between 78-80 degrees when the room air is around 70-71. I've seen reviews that said there weren't enough rocks on the floor, but I was okay with that because there were enough to cover the filter. I didn't want to cover the filter because it would make…

MUCH nicer than most Betta aquariums

My little Betta was doing just fine in his 2 gallon cube on my desk but I really wanted something that looked nicer and was easier to clean. After tracking the price of this 4 gallon tank for probably a year I finally caught it at a good sale price and ordered it. It takes up about the same space as the old, smaller pool but is taller, looks a lot prettier and of course gives my little one more room to explore. I already had some BiOrb plants but I have since ordered the BiOrb Flower Garden…

Recommended for all fish lovers!

I wanted to wait a little before writing a review so that I could give a good and honest review. I have had many small aquariums as well as a few large ones and this aquarium is by far the BEST I have ever had. I got it for my betta fish alpha who seemed overwhelmed by his smaller betta fish and despite my best efforts to prevent it started to develop fin rot. I've had this tank for 2 weeks now and in that time my betta has almost completely recovered from the tail rot. He is so happy and swims
