Revainrating 5 out of 5

broken knee? You want it. Here you can find out how to order the right size, how to put it on and how long it takes to try on.

I completely fractured my knee playing Krav Maga and ended up on my left foot. Leg. I've never had a knee injury so it was a new experience. I couldn't even put weight on it without feeling like my leg was going to break at the knee. We went to the local Walgreens and bought a basic pair of crutches and the best knee brace they had on the shelf, the Mueller Articulated Knee Brace, Black, Lg. I wore it for about 5 days before I felt it fail me didn't give much support no matter how hard I tightened it. I got in my car and moved my leg correctly (or just wrong) and twisted my knee again, even with the brace on. Knowing my knee was worth the cost to avoid injuring it again, I ordered this Shock Doctor knee brace and was thankful that Revain had day-of-sale delivery near me. ++++ HOW TO ORDER THE CORRECT SIZE ++++ Make sure you order the correct size! ** Ignore the note that it runs small! You want to be wrong if it's small because it will stretch and tear! ** If you need it, here are the sizes: S = 12.25" - 13.25" M = 13" - 14" L = 13.75" - 14.75" XL = 14 .5" - 15.5" XXL = 15.25" - 16.25" My upper calf is 15" in diameter and 2" below the kneecap as indicated for the measurement, so I have a large one ordered. Yes it was a bit small but it fit me. It gets VERY tight in the calf area. Grasp the sides of the top opening where the small hooks are and pull until it snaps into place, then wrap the straps appropriately. You want it to be easy the first time you put it on! On the first day it will seem to you that it is too small. Also, the straps that wrap around the back of the knee seem to dig into the back of the leg. Adjust them from time to time or place a thin cloth on the back of your knees for a while. After a while, they also wear out. Day 1 - will be very busy. Day 2 - Still very cozy but more comfortable. Day 3 - You can wear this all day and not even think about it. It's time to flip and stretch to accommodate your foot, but once that happens, it's amazing. ++++ SUPPORT IS GREAT! ++++ So let's talk about the most important thing. SUPPORT. The first time I put it on and tightened the straps I felt like I could jump on my sprained knee. Of course I knew better. But it seems VERY solid and VERY secure. It has dramatically helped me walk again and strengthen my knee again. I think the only downside, apart from the break-in time, is the confidence it gives you that you can start acting "normal", overdo it and hurt your foot again if you're not careful. Remember, this is support only, not something created by Tony Stark. Also, you can't fully bend your leg since the back straps get in the way, but if you're wearing this you probably shouldn't bend your leg as much. Of course, everyone's injuries and build are different so your results may vary, but this was without a doubt the best thing I could buy for my injury and avoid again.
