Got this book, unfortunately we found bed bugs! :( I also have a 2 year old girl who spills water from her juice at night and one day while getting wet from her diaper. The cover wasn't as difficult to put on as I thought it fits quite well, ended up fitting bit loose it's not enough to bother anything and probably best so it doesn't rip or tear and moves in and out of bed with ease I could LIGHTLY feel a crease when I first put it on, buy it, i don't mind anymore (since a few weeks) daughter got wet through her diapers a few nights ago and soaked through my sheets and blanket which is a good sign as she usually soaked my foam/gel memory foam mattress It's definitely waterproof, haven't seen if it helps keep the bed bugs out or not yet, but haven't seen any bites since I put it on and put the feather covers on!I think it's on definitely worth buying it. Update: 6 months ev later - still very happy with my purchase, I don't mind if I sleep comfortably, I had shed my daughter's blood. I've been on it a few times and due to the mentioned bed bug problem I can't take it off to wash for at least a year but it's pretty easy to spot and keep clean. As far as bed bugs go, I've noticed a big difference in my daughter's bites and mine. There were a couple of times we got a bite or two but I think that was because they had climbed onto the bed. I have purchased bed bug catchers (this is a MUST for solving bed bug problems) and since receiving them with the cover I have not seen any more bites/or bugs on my bed (bought the same for all beds in our home). Along with diatomaceous earth and bed bug spray to kill the living, make sure all sides of your bed - even the top where your head rests - are kept away from walls and don't let any blankets touch the floor. By doing this, you are effectively depriving them of food - you - and they die. Wash EVERYTHING and/or tumble dry for at least 30 minutes on high heat as heat will kill them. I hope this can help someone, these things can really cause extreme stress. Especially if your child(ren) is(are) bitten every night when they should be resting and sleeping soundly. Pray the problem goes away and that the nightmarish little critters go away forever!
