I used this to create an inlaid rectangular pattern on a 3/4 inch blank. I set it to 3/8" deep to trim the edges of the insert. I used a 3/4 straight nozzle to erase the center of the rectangle. I found this bit formed very smoothly , with almost no stress on the router.I'm very happy with its results.Other brands tend to deaden quickly, noticeably slowing down the router at similar cruising speeds, and sometimes tending to burn off headroom.
