I've been working with coax for a while so I'm very skilled. I had a slight hum from my FIOS coax when I fully unplugged the coax off and I've gone through the entire system to troubleshoot, confirmed it's coming from an external source, replaced all grounds/connections, removed cable glands, to... To remove hum and nothing, I'm an audiophile so I want 100% silence on my system and no I want noise to be caused by the coax system so I got this coax galvanic isolator which fixed the problem and mine System is now 100% silent. Most high-end audiophile gear features galvanic isolation on their inputs. So, for $12, it's not difficult to galvanically isolate your coax input from a device that can introduce that noise into your high-end gear. Sorry to update the picture but it's built into a cable box and this guy is screaming that the quality isn't cheap at all. costs 2-3 times more.
