Review on πŸ“‘ Enhanced TRAM 1480 Base Antenna for Amateur Dual-Band Usage by Adam Boudreau

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's so good I have 3 of these

Many will say that the tram isn't the same as it used to be. But then again, what about now? As a Ham+GMRS user, this 8ft vertical fiber optic case with dual ribbons has been a benefit to me for quite some time. My first mast is barely 32ft in forested mountains and has taken my ability from zero to hearing (and hitting) a repeater 20+ miles away + 2 mountains on UHF and being able to chat with a friend over one to communicate direction signal. nearly 40 miles on VHF. It has also withstood multiple frosts, frigid winters with strong winds and thunderstorm-like monsoons in the summer. Order the installation to use the surplus military mast stop system. The only reason I'm not going crazy and buying Tram 1481 (about 17ft tall) is because I don't have enough space. And believe me, if I had the opportunity and the place, I probably would have tried it by now. Very satisfied, very impressed and would definitely buy again if needed!
