Review on πŸ‘ž Sperry Hampden Venetian Slip Loafer: Premium Men's Shoes for Effortless Loafers & Slip-Ons by Matt Kucrud

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Like the looks, not the durability

Shame on me first. I have pair number 4. They are so comfortable and easy to put on and take off. They look great with casual or classic shorts, as well as casual trousers or jeans. My only issue with them, and I don't feel I need to say that about Sperry shoes, is that after a few wears they just fall apart at the seams. I do not know what that is. I have at least 5 other styles of her pumps and loafers. I have a normal stride (heel to toe, no pronation or supination) and only weigh 215 pounds in a size 11.5 shoe. The biggest success I've had in extending their lifespan is to put some Physix Gear (full length) orthotics (with arch support) in them. In one of the pairs they lasted almost three times as long in my opinion. Maybe it relieves the seam that was sewn around the upper, but this seam runs 1/3 of the way from the sole to the top of the upper. Love the look, hate the durability.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • No insurance
