First time on Dr. Ax seen. I was originally looking for a collagen product, but due to dietary concerns, Bone Broth Protein Powder was recommended. My family eats organic, homemade food with no preservatives. We are quite active (I exercise 30-60 minutes a day). Still, I was feeling a bit sluggish, I was fast approaching 50 and the joint pains were starting to creep up. After much research I decided to give it a try. I've been taking it for the second month and I have to say that I feel very good. There are fewer points of articulation and I find the muscles recover faster after a hard workout. I've tried adding it to smoothies, oatmeal, sprinkles on cereal, etc., but it's come out lumpy and a bit chalky. Also, I've found that it tastes pretty awful when I add it to oatmeal. What works for me is drinking it straight and dissolving it in hot water. In fact, I can't drink coffee/tea for an hour because of the meds I take first thing in the morning, so I drink a cup of that instead. I won't lie, there is a slight aftertaste that takes some getting used to, but I got over it in a few days. It's like drinking a very strong cup of chicken broth. In addition to reducing joint pain, I noticed my nails were stronger, my joints were stronger, and I felt less bloated at the end of the day. However, don't believe this mindset that you can have bad eating habits without suffering the consequences. It's not a panacea, but if you're looking for a supplement to complement an already healthy and active lifestyle, I'd definitely recommend it. One final note: everyone is different so your result may differ from mine, for me it works great and doesn't hurt to try.
