Based on feedback, including from a good friend who recommended this telescope, we were very pleased. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. Viewfinders, lenses and optical components are decent, but the device itself is very weak. As far as using a smartphone (iPhone 11) goes, it was a big flop. To figure out how to use and test it, we only looked at the rocks and flowers, not the hummingbirds as shown in very sparse directions. The phone fitted into the adapter, but aligning the phone's camera lens with the telescope lens was next to impossible, and then when it finally aligned and you let go of the camera, the telescope shifted due to the extra weight and your view would be carefully aligned will. Maybe an old smartphone with only one lens would be easier (and lighter), but modern phones with 3 lenses - forget it. If you just want to look at rocks, trees, or mountains, this works (unless you want to take photos). If you're looking at something that's moving and trying to take a picture, it doesn't seem to work at all. We send it back and continue to look for a good and cheap telescope.
