We use this to watch movies indoors during family movie nights. The picture is good when the room is dark enough. We start watching movies quite late so it gets dark and it works fine. It doesn't have to be pitch black, but it doesn't have to be full daylight either. As long as it's dark enough, the picture quality is good enough. I connect the device to a small soundbar, so I don't care about the sound quality. It's decent, but works even better when paired with some fuller sound. Works great with our ROKU stick to watch Hulu, Netflix and Disney+ movies. I tried connecting it to my computer via Bluetooth to stream, but it froze and I found the Roku to work better. It's a decent machine for the price. I would get it again. I thought it had wi-fi from the description but it doesn't so be prepared to wire your devices.
