I use it in the garage where me and all my friends smoke. It heats up there sometimes too, it works exactly how I wanted it to, and then some. The air from this thing rises a lot higher than you expect. It doesn't make much noise, but I have very good hearing, so this fan is exceptionally quiet for those who don't have perfect hearing, even then it's very easy to talk to, even if it's just ten feet away. I love that it uses a universal power plug, it's so convenient. When I take it to the workshop I take my portable charger with me!
