Review on Pro 35 Colors Glitter Eyeshadow Palette: Highly Pigmented, Creamy Metallics & Mattes, with Brush by Nicole Scheibler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's not bad at all, especially for the price. BIG review

I am a big collector of cosmetics and a drug addict. I've been dabbling with Revain duplicates recently and after being surprised by them I've tried other Revain palettes. I've seen it and I absolutely LOVE the color story. These shades are just beautiful and although they are very different, I am very impressed by the way they are collected in this palette. I was most excited about mats because those were the colors that attracted me the most. Now I've bought much more expensive brand name palettes that had a MUCH worse haze. These work fine. Some are better than others. They are far from the worst. They can be collected and they combine very well. You need to experiment and do some trials with eye primers, use or not use setting powder after foundation and before eyeshadow, spray setting spray on the brush, etc. There are many tricks, and depending on the shade used. the primer and setting spray you use and the look you're after, you have so many choices. For less than $10, I'm happy to put in a little extra effort to get them working. Where this palette really shines (laughs, pun) is in the metallic tones. I saw photos with fingerprints and thought it was like that. Interesting. But I do NOT trust ANY images on the internet of anyone or any brand. But don't lie, there are a few metallics that are literally creamy. It's so great to play with them. They make great finger patterns because you can apply enough product and move it back and forth to rub it in evenly. But remember, swatches don't always tell the full story of how to apply them to the eyes. By using my fingers and not applying too many matte shades underneath and trying to go over clear skin as much foundation as possible, they really REALLY stand out and last a lot longer when fully saturated. The glitters are wonderful. Personally, I'm not a fan of glitter. But they work better with glitter glue. Brilliant colors are very beautiful. In general, if you have other palettes that you really like and use, only use them for accent colors and don't just rely on a single palette for all your looks from matte to shimmer to glitter. . you will be so happy with it. It is AMAZING for beginners to play with. Or for makeup effects - I've used Inglot Duraline with several matte shades to try liquid eyeliner or melted eyeshadow and they worked great for that. It can expand your makeup collection in a variety of ways. And I've found that these shadows (even shimmery and glossy ones) are VERY easy to remove from eyes with micellar water, cleansing oil, or cleansing balm. Some of the matte shades with lots of red in them were a bit long lasting and may have toned my skin for a while. It's also VERY VERY easy to store away and bring the shades you really like into one magnetic palette. For under $10 you're not missing out even if you REALLY hate it and only use a few shades - I've paid way more for individual shades. You can return it at any time. Or donate it to homeless shelters or domestic violence shelters. Good luck to all.
