I work a lot with large graphics and huge files. I put off buying memory for my late 2011 Macbook Pro, but eventually I got fed up with the daily slow memory speeds. I would grab a coffee from the break room if Photoshop or Illustrator were open and when I got back I found it was still open, hence this purchase. I'm a big newbie and to be honest it was a bit scary. I opened up my work computer for $2500 and had no idea what I was going to find. I followed Apple's instructions up to the letter "T" and installed this memory. Installation was scary but very easy. I kept my old memory just in case, but I'm sure I won't need it. To my delight, I turned on the computer and it started working. I was very scared I messed something up. I'm digging through files now and it's important for me to know that I have the storage I need to back up my design. This is a solid investment in my future, best buy. I also bought one of those little tool kits as I didn't have a screwdriver with me. It was also necessary. As I needed a photo to remove the back cover. Advantages: Very easy installation Disadvantages: None Conclusion: Buy it now!
