Fixed memory that had memory compatibility issues OEM

Original computer: Mid 2011 iMac 21.5 500GB system with 4GB memory (2 x 2GB stick) OS: Started with Lion but switched to Mavericks after installing My iMac works great, but there were occasional lags, especially with photo-intensive software like Lightroom and Photoshop Elements. I decided to buy 2 (4GB) flash drives to increase the storage in my system to 12GB. The memory was easy to install and I followed Apple's instructions on their website with no problems. After installation, the system…

Why won't it work? May be.

So I start with the bad and move on to the good to end with a bang. weird *beep* and then my screen would have all these colored lines all over the screen. I don't even know how to explain it. So I opened the back of my laptop, took out the new $80 RAM and put the old one in. Then it started without any problems. I went and looked what the problem could be. After being at a loss I looked to see what updates could be done and noticed that I had a software update. So I waited about 30 minutes for

FAKE memory chips, wrong size and not real chips!

Update: 11/28/2016: I sent these chips back to Corsair because Revain didn't want to take them back and I can't say enough good things about Corsair's customer service. Although it took a while, although Corsair could not guarantee them directly since they were fake memory chips, Corsair still gave a guarantee on it without leaving me alone. The chips sent to me by Corsair work fantastic! I really enjoy having 16GB of storage in my MacBook Pro. HUGE performance difference when running VM…

Excellent! for internals

Works great so far on my MacBook Pro (Early 2011). It originally came with 4GB of storage, and with the latest macOS update, my computer got so slow I couldn't do anything with it. Every mouse click was a real agony. My computer's resources were completely exhausted. I upgraded my MBP with new 16GB memory along with a new SSD. There are no installation problems. Just watch some videos online because it's very easy to do it yourself. You just need to make sure you have a decent set of mini…

IT WORKS WITHOUT HARD DISK UPDATE REQUIRED

I bought this item as my early 2011 Macbook Pro was very slow and with 575GB out of 750GB didn't boot anything. I followed all the steps online to make my computer faster but felt like I was disabling features I like. Why is my computer lame so I bought this item and it was only with them for 2 days but as soon as I restarted my computer and turned it on for the first time in a long time Word loaded fast (30 seconds), Powerpoint loaded fast (18 seconds) and Firefox almost immediately which was…

This saved my Macbook Pro (Early 2011)

My Macbook Pro (13" Early 2011) is a lot smoother now! Things don't load instantly or anything, but they're a lot faster and if when they are opened, my laptop can handle several at the same time! I see a spinning loading cursor much less often and my computer is much more efficient. To give you an idea of the difference that makes, I had three windows open a few days prior to the purchase: Chrome, Word and Spotify; My computer was running at a snail's pace and I could do almost nothing. I…

Worked great and was easy to install.

. I installed them in my early 2011 13" MacBook Pro replacing the 2 x 2GB chips that came with the original and (1) 2 chips that fitted perfectly with maximum ease and (2 ) when I turned on the computer, all 16GB was recognized (despite originally saying that this computer only accepts a maximum of 8GB). Also, the added memory kept my computer running "like new". I almost never see it. Well worth the investment and this brand has actually proven to be fully compatible with my Mac. Warning: I…

The best investment!

I work a lot with large graphics and huge files. I put off buying memory for my late 2011 Macbook Pro, but eventually I got fed up with the daily slow memory speeds. I would grab a coffee from the break room if Photoshop or Illustrator were open and when I got back I found it was still open, hence this purchase. I'm a big newbie and to be honest it was a bit scary. I opened up my work computer for $2500 and had no idea what I was going to find. I followed Apple's instructions up to the letter…
