I bought this item as my early 2011 Macbook Pro was very slow and with 575GB out of 750GB didn't boot anything. I followed all the steps online to make my computer faster but felt like I was disabling features I like. Why is my computer lame so I bought this item and it was only with them for 2 days but as soon as I restarted my computer and turned it on for the first time in a long time Word loaded fast (30 seconds), Powerpoint loaded fast (18 seconds) and Firefox almost immediately which was such a relief. I want to go back to using VMware Fusion like I used to, but let me tell you, without upgrading my hard drive to an SSD like everyone else, my laptop is still pretty darn fast compared to where it used to take me 45 minutes to save or upgrade Documents with the Rainbow Wheel of Death spinning indefinitely. I only wish I had bought this sooner. I will update after using VMware Fusion and Autocad for 3D modeling. If he can stand it then it's over 5 stars, if not I'll downgrade accordingly. FYI High Sierra OS and my screenshot shows over 5GB RAM usage. Crazy considering I only had 4GB before the update which explains the slow system. DON'T JUST BUY 8GB TOTAL, GET THAT 16GB, the computer can and will use it all and it's worth it. Don `t save. The Apple website lied to me and said there was no more than 8GB, although you can clearly see in my photos that all 16GB are recognized. God bless and enjoy the speed of freedom.
