I installed them in my early 2011 13" MacBook Pro replacing the 2 x 2GB chips that came with the original and (1) 2 chips that fitted perfectly with maximum ease and (2 ) when I turned on the computer, all 16GB was recognized (despite originally saying that this computer only accepts a maximum of 8GB). Also, the added memory kept my computer running "like new". I almost never see it. Well worth the investment and this brand has actually proven to be fully compatible with my Mac. Warning: I had to buy a micro-screwdriver to open the computer because Phillips screws are so tiny, but I found what I need at Home Depot (not a specialty store) and the screws have standard heads, unlike screws on iPhones that have a 5-star configuration.
