There is no reminder when you turn off the light.
I think they are roadworthy. But they don't save settings when you turn them off. I set up an Alexa fork that disables my tree. When I turn them on they start blinking instead of being on all the time. I don't want to crawl under my tree every day to press the button 8 times to get the always-on feature.
