They really help our dog not to slip. I wish they stayed longer, but they have to be thin material to allow the pads to "breathe". This process is a commitment, but well worth it. They go pretty easy. We don't put them all in and cut out individual pieces of the pads - we make something of a hybrid. We cut between them (before peeling off the backing) so that there is a little more deformation when the material is attached to each pad. It really helps. One thing to note - follow the removal instructions - you MUST wet the protective pads and wait at least a minute or two before CAREFULLY removing them. Once they start to loosen, removing them is fairly easy. We use treats and our dog agrees. We like to think he knows we're trying to help him.
