The kit arrived quickly and well packaged. I have used their lamps on my Trojan D4 before and everything has worked fine. This time, after assembling the bulb and sleeve and installing them, the filter declared that the bulb was not working. It also turns off the ballast, which is what the device should do if it detects a bad bulb. I checked the connections and they are ok. It went downhill from there. Focusing on the problem rather than what I was doing, I removed the bulb while the filter was pressurized. I'm not sure if any of you have ever tried this, but the result is a ballistic pear and cartridge case. Both are now well smashed against the wall of my boiler room. I can't shut down a product or company because of my mistake. I would love to see what they would do with a lightbulb. But contacting them now would be unfair to them and I won't do that.
