I recently broke the hook on my key fob so I couldn't tie it to my keys. This works very well. The key fob penetrates and sticks to the key ring. I can control the key fob through the grid. My car is older so my key fob is a bit smaller than more modern models but it still works well. You should measure your keychain to make sure it will fit. I'm so thankful I found this. This solved the problem for me. Another bonus. I have red so now I can quickly find the keys in my purse!
