Summary: Absolutely the best toothpaste yet; really amazing way to keep your teeth clean and heal mouth ulcers. Can not recommend it! Part 1: I started using this product right after my dentist visit last June so I could assess how my next dentist appointment went compared to using regular Crest and Colgate toothpastes - no more occurred Changes in habits (not that such changes can last 6 months anyway). Since I produce a lot of saliva, plaque and tartar have been big problems for me since childhood, although I have never had tooth decay and dentists have been picking my teeth and scraping my gums for almost an hour. Not a fun experience to always endure. And I've always felt the plaque on my teeth physically return within a week of brushing, even though I brush twice a day and no brand or flavor of toothpaste I've ever used before has changed. same dentist as before) after six months of using this xylitol toothpaste I have never seen anything like it. They had almost nothing to complain about! There is practically no flight! In fact, they spent more time polishing and praising than I've ever seen and my teeth looked great. I have never had such a good time at a dentist. Even when they flossed, it wasn't painful and awful like usual - it was easy! That left me speechless. I felt with my tongue that I couldn't see plaque the whole time with this xylitol toothpaste but to experience it empirically at the dentist where things are out of my control was really a revelation and awesome! They also did a follow-up x-ray and found no weaknesses or problems with my teeth or the mineralization and enamel (they were really surprised at how thick my enamel was). This toothpaste really works. It works better than anything I've ever seen. Just make sure you have some form of fluoride available to keep your teeth acid-resistant. The only weakness is that this toothpaste does not contain bleach, so the surface of the teeth is a little easier to stain with tea and the like; but gently scraping the surface with a dental instrument removes it completely. Also using whitening mouthwashes seems to solve this problem as it is only surface tartar and not actual tartar (for me). Part 2: My roommate also started using this toothpaste at the same time as me (2 packs). He suffered from mouth ulcers almost weekly throughout his life. A cut a month from a missed bite or a spicy food causes him a painful ulcer. However, after switching to this toothpaste, he only developed one ulcer in 10 months! This completely changed his life experience and before that nothing had affected his susceptibility to ulcers. This result was totally unexpected! I have never seen a report of xylitol toothpaste for mouth ulcers. But healing them instantly when nothing else can is just amazing. In hindsight, this makes sense as xylitol has been shown to eliminate bad bacteria (microflora) and help your good microflora take over your mouth (and gut), which is part of how it stops plaque. But because this result was totally unexpected and unexpected, it really increased our love for this product. 31% seems to be the minimum amount of xylitol you need in a toothpaste from what we've found. So I'll stick with this brand for as long as possible! Hope this review helps!
