From personal experience. Here are the steps I took to get an extremely efficient setup. Use either bottled water or tap water. If you use a faucet, make sure the water is dechlorinated. Pour in about an inch from the edge. 1/2 tablespoon brackish salt. I use Seachems brackish salt. 1/4 teaspoon eggs or as many as you can consume within 48 hours. Remember that brine shrimp are most nutritious in the first 48 hours, before they use up their nutrient sac from birth. Hatching takes about a day. Then I turn off the air pump. Let the eggshells swim and the shrimp sink. Pointing the flashlight at the ground to attract them also helps.
