I've been looking for small hoop earrings for my new second ear piercing for a long time. Something I can just put down and forget and sleep well. I've tried many pairs without hinges, but I've had a lot of trouble wearing earrings that small. They fit snugly to avoid snagging on things. This will be for 2+ piercings and cartilage. The first sentence is unlikely to fit. I have very sensitive ears and have had no problems with them. I might buy the next size up to keep my first holes open. Even after 30+ years, the back of my earlobe will close up a little if I don't wear earrings in it.
