Finding a non-wireless desktop dock for a USB-C device is extremely difficult. This is one of the few available for sale in the US and the only one with a detachable cable. Works well as a dock. But as other reviewers have pointed out, the included cable is 1) quite short; 2) is not configured for fast charging. The good news is that the docking station can be taken apart (as shown in the pictures) and a spare USB-C to USB-C power cable can be plugged in. You will need a rectangular USC-C cable, but it should be minimal on the rectangular end. UGREEN makes one that is 6 feet. It requires careful bending of the plastic and cutting of the rubber to force the UGREEN cable (which is slightly larger than the original cable) into place, but when it's done it looks like the dock came with it . Why this company doesn't offer a longer cable capable of doing this is probably a question of cost. And this adjustment adds $9 to the cost of the dock. Is it worth? If you want a USB-C dock in the US that can deliver at least 18W of power, then yes, it's worth the cost of the original dock plus cable replacements and modifications to the dock.
