Semi-private, design reminds me of an old shower curtain

I bought this screen protector to replace the ones already on the underside of the windows in our bedroom. Unfortunately it doesn't offer the privacy I need. It's said you can use it in bedrooms, but you can still see through it fairly well with minimal distortion. The foil I currently have is not visible at all but still lets light through so I was looking for something similar. Regarding the design, I have to say that it looked better on the photos. When I first opened it, it reminded me of an old shower curtain we had. I can't attest to how easy the app is because I wasn't worried as it doesn't offer what I need.
