Review on Improved Neewer 16 Channel Wireless Remote FM Flash Speedlite Radio Trigger with 2.5mm PC Receiver for Flash Units Featuring Universal Hot Shoe Compatibility by Wanda Kolb

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I wish I had bought this sooner

Amazing. Works perfectly on my a6000 and Meike MK-930 II flash. The flash leg was a bit incompatible, but with a little mod to mount the flash backwards I was able to get it working in no time (5 minutes). See my flash review for details. See attached image for motion capture - so much glare!. Also works without mods with my old Vivitar Thrystor Flash. I have this flash for an old Minolta SRT 101 and I believe many other flashes will work as well. I think I only had problems with the Meike MK-930 II because mine is designed for the Sony MI hot shoe which places the electrical contact deep in the foot. Many people have complained that they fail after a while. I suspect this is because the transmitter's internal battery died at some point. There's no obvious way to replace this battery, but I think I'll know when mine's dead - and then I'll grab a screwdriver and see where it takes me. In any case, for €15 you can't go wrong here.

Pros
  • This flash trigger works with all cameras with a hot shoe mount on a stand and cameras with a 2.5mm connection (but does not work with Sony flashes)
Cons
  • weak
