I purchased this table for my laundry room. I'm normally not an industrial look kind of girl, but this table along with the open metal shelving that we put in makes our laundry/storage area look and feel airy and clean. It's also not a mold-friendly surface for those of us with laundry rooms in somewhat damp basements.The 48 x 24 inch top is the perfect size for folding clothes without taking up too much space and the bottom shelf holds two laundry baskets up off the floor. Like some other reviewers, I found a few scratches on the top even though there was a protective film stuck to it, and a small dent in the side of the table. This was not a problem for me, as I just put the dented side up against the wall. Scratches.it's going to scratch anyway, so I'm not going to make a big deal out of it. If I were putting this in my kitchen, however, the dent would bother me. It was easy to put together, even though there were no instructions in the box and I really appreciate the height-adjustable feet, another good feature if using this on a less-than-perfect basement floor.I'm very happy with my purchase and feel it is a good deal for the money.
