I bought one of these discs because the price was very good, but after installing it and coming back from vacation I already noticed a serious problem with it. The read/write heads in particular are so annoyingly loud that I ended up having to take them out and put my old 2TB drive back in. I have a small HP Prodesk 600 G1 computer and this drive rattles and creaks like nothing I've ever tried. I've heard before that I've been working as an IT specialist in government for 20 years. I would have sent it back sooner but as I was on holiday my warranty has expired so they won't be sending it back now. So if you're looking for a quiet drive, cross it off your list and spend a little more money on a quality new drive. I don't know who makes this drive, but many manufacturers take old ones and upgrade them to sell to unsuspecting buyers. I may have been one of them, but a civil case is already pending over this practice. Most importantly, stay away from this loud crap!
