Bring back Encore Groove

I loved my old Encore Grooves to wear on trips abroad, they were easy to put on and take off at airports but they stayed on my feet and I could even hike in them pretty seriously. The leather upper looked great, much more stylish than sneakers or "jungle loafers". So now they're worn out and the Encore Gust seems like the only replacement that looks the part. I have found that with Gust my heel always slips when I walk and I measure that my heel is almost 1/2 inch higher than with Groove (see photos, Gust shows a lot more of my toe). ). The tread is still strong enough for hiking but I doubt the heel will protect against small rocks etc maybe even walking city streets. The Gust also has a narrower heel, making it less stable when hiking, and the foot opening is odd. and more elongated The size is also large, I usually take 8.5, but 8.0 fit better. It's nice shoes, but the groove was better.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
