Review on Weitars Carrier Backpack Waterproof Approved by Aaron Shaw

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High functionality

*Updated Rating* We bought 3 backpacks and 1 was rated by the seller for an honest rating. The design is very well developed. There are many built-in amenities for both cats and humans. Aside from the mesh elements, we rate the fabric as durable and well-made. The backpack is well ventilated. We placed mini fans in the mesh side pockets for extra ventilation and wind permeability. This ensured our cats would be comfortable on the 100+ degree Phoenix hikes. It was initially uncomfortable to wear because it's boxy, but ergonomically, our week-long trip spared our backs. The straps are soft and durable. Don't leave your cats unattended for long in this backpack. I put the kitten in the backpack with the extension extended and left the room. When I came back I found that he had fallen onto his backpack and was rolling across the room like a hamster ball. During the hamster ball incident, our little one's intestines became liquid. As mentioned in another review, one of the two comfy pads is firmly attached so we thought trying to get the stain and odor out was hopeless. We're impressed with how well the backpack has withstood multiple washes with a garden hose. Surprisingly, the comfort pillow was cleaned of all stains and odors. There are few traces of this event on the fabric. Our 12 pound cat did an unintentional pressure test of the backpack in its unfolded form. The mesh and wire frames collapsed and lost their shape as he sat on them. We've tried coaxing the wires and returning them to their original shape, but to no avail.

Pros
  • Front hole design and internal security buckle
Cons
  • Out of fashion
