Bought to use with my LG 34WK95U which has a reputation for being temperamental. I bought a used monitor from B&H for $500 less than new and used it with Cable Matters - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y1QP9FV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc= 1 The monitor and cable worked great together although the cable is rated for 4K and the monitor is rated for 5K. The price of the monitor then dropped to what I paid for a used item so I returned the used one and got a new one. The new monitor was dimmed with Cable Matters. Basically, the screen would turn off and on randomly. Using the 6ft cable provided by LG solved the problem, but I needed a longer cable due to my desk setup. This new StarTech cable works perfectly. The screen no longer dims and the sound transmission seems to be normal. Now I can elevate my desk and don't have to unplug the display port cable from my new monitor. All is well. Will update as experience changes. I'm not sure what the cable actually costs, but so far I'm very happy with this DisplayPort cable.
