The package was received safely and in its own box. On opening I found a very nice, fitting and neat shell with great weight and feel. This is a really nice bowl that adorns my men's corner in the bathroom along with my other shaving accessories. Very pretty. Very pretty. So, I used this dish for the first time today. It's big enough for my badger brush and my big boar brush. Today I used it with my badger hair brush. I was able to load the brush very well and hardly noticed any difference between the temperature maintained in this bowl compared to another (plastic) bowl. This is clearly the best bowl, but I have to work with it a little differently to ensure the initial temperature of the water put into the bowl is higher. I usually use the sink to soak my brush, but now I'm starting to use this utensil. This no doubt helps with the initial temp and helps keep the temp warm after I lower the soak water level to beat the suds with the brush. Again, this is a good large dish. This makes it a bit inconvenient for me to pack them in my travel toiletry bag. Great work on the product and I would definitely recommend it.
