Interesting item to review but not really. This thing is insanely isolated. I get hot boiling water for shaving and soak my comb in it, ok this bowl keeps it hot, after 5-10 minutes I can go back and grab the bowl just feeling a little warmth from the contents inside. I can't do that with the plastic cup I use for my blade. But this bowl is good and well made. I lather the brush with a washing machine, start stirring and collect a good shaving foam. I had high hopes that this bowl would replace several of the ceramic bowls I used. Firstly, this is not a German production. The inscription printed on the metal base of the bowl and on the cheap cardboard appears to be of Asian origin. The bowl is the perfect size for shaving repellent cream. The only thing I'm missing is a raised area at the bottom of the bowl to create a ridge to help lather the shaving cream faster. I've seen other bowls like this but they were plastic. Maybe it's not possible with metal. He too seems isolated. I've wanted a good shaving bowl for a long time. We used a plastic cup from the "Yuk" kitchen. So I looked at almost every bowl on Revain and settled on Charmman. Wise call. This is a very pretty bowl, nicely designed and just the right size. Multi-layer stainless steel helps create a healthy lather and keeps it warm while you shave. Highly recommended.

Very well finished multi-layer shaving bowl. I have used a single ply designer mug before and it is much more useful and convenient. It's the right weight and size - it won't tip over with a shaving brush in it and the right size makes it perfect for holding and it's big enough that the lather doesn't overflow. I needed a bowl that doesn't take up much space on the sink and doesn't break when dropped on the floor. This bowl is perfect in every way. So I got this in the mail today, I was very excited to receive it. I thought it came with a brush but it didn't. In general, it looks very nice and is quite well finished. I'm out in the fields a lot, so I have to keep cutting open water bottles to use as a shaving bowl. But I will post more information about it after my next field exercise. But I've taken the liberty of taking some sizing photos for those of you who want accurate information.

Haven't had it that long so can't comment on rust and stain resistance, although that should be good considering it's 304 stainless steel Washing Wash it thoroughly with soap (and dry well) after each use, just to be safe.
