While looking for some picture frames to hang on the wall we found they would look good in a small corner of the house. The price seemed pretty steep at first considering we're buying these 13x13 frames in sets of 12. The frames looked great though. It wasn't until the frames arrived and installation began that we noticed serious problems. Let's start with the fact that the material used to cover the frame is very fragile. It's fragile enough that if you put anything on the frame, the paint will chip away to reveal the cheap faux wood underneath. A simple little movement scratches that entire frame like nothing else. Even the back hooks will scratch the frame when you stick the picture. Second, I found that once I started mounting them on the wall, they can fall off and break easily. Now I carefully attached the frame to the wall with the ill-fitting triangular hook that comes with this frame. It has a terrible back hook and is extremely difficult to use for attachment. As if that wasn't hard enough, one of our frames immediately fell to the ground, splitting the entire outside corner of the frame from a low height of just 3 feet. This was because the hook completely detached from the back of the box (see image) leaving no support. When it happened, it just hung on the wall! Surprisingly, the glass frames held up well on all of them, including the dropped frame. I've seen reviews where people have expressed concerns about broken glass. Maybe it was at least a delivery problem due to the fragility of the glass. I'm more worried about these other aspects of the frame once you start installing. mounting screws are fitted. Often, using various good tools like a leveler, the frames were placed a few inches higher or lower than they should have been. And this after using their installation instructions. It didn't turn out right. Add in what I mentioned above about the back hooks and you should have the whole thing hanging without gravity to make it look perfect. These frames can't stay straight and level with a lousy rear hook and instructions on how to install them. In conclusion, if you have any doubts about this product, beware. Looks great online, sure, but it's plagiarism. It's not worth the price. I would consider various options including viewing the frames in person if possible as you need accurate measurements to set multiple frames without distortion. These shots will give you trouble even if you overcome everything I mentioned. If you decide to go with them, I hope you have better luck.
