About a year or two ago I suddenly started getting frequent stomatitis. I would bite the inside of my cheek or lip and BAM, cold sores would form which lasted about 2 weeks. In other cases, they happened randomly, and once I had 3 stomatitis at the same time. I was told to try toothpaste without sodium lauryl sulfate and Dr. Sheffield turned out to be the cheapest option at my local CVS. I've been using it for about a year and I'm on my fourth tube now. I may have had an ulcer since using this toothpaste, it really helped! Now I order a double pack from Amazon every time I run out. Highly recommended for people with ulcers. It also tastes good. Because SLS causes toothpaste to foam, you're missing out on that foaming factor. But you get used to it quickly and in general it's worth it.
