This looks like a negative review at first, but please read the important information I learned to the end. I ordered 2 of these and was disappointed that 2 out of 6 bulbs didn't work and one light only worked in one of 3 positions and I suspected a bad switch. I sent a Revain request for a replacement and it arrived within 18 hours. I was really impressed with this answer. I decided to test the new device before installing it and everything worked fine. I installed a replacement bulb and 2 bulbs didn't work. It didn't feel right so I started playing with the position of the lamp and realized that these tube lamps only had to be installed one way. Turn them around and everything works fine. I then took the original socket which I thought was defective and after aligning the lamps correctly the socket and bulbs worked as they should. Yes, my face was red with shame. Intuitively, one might think that it shouldn't matter in which direction the lamp is to be mounted. A manual with this information would save me, Revane and the dealer a lot of trouble. And now the good news. I love these new headlights. They are SIGNIFICANTLY brighter than the standard incandescent bulbs they replaced in my RV. They were easy to install as replacements in the same place as the original fasteners since the wiring and latching was there. My god, you can shoot movies without extra lighting, and my wife loves extra lighting, especially in the kitchen. I would give this product 5 stars but I would like to take some time to see if they remain reliable without maintenance and the lamp life is as advertised. I just found out that since these bulbs can be used for 12v and 24v, one direction for 12v and you twist them for 24v.
