Bought this item a little over a year ago. I loved it as a cool accessory for my truck and I really loved being able to look down and see my gear on display. The installation was a big project, it took me a good part of the day to wire everything up. To do this you will have to open the dashboard and connect the wires that are usually connected to the cigarette lighter so that when you turn off the car the power turns off. The guidance was not top notch but acceptable. The connections weren't very tight and depending on the temperature, the device loses some of its performance. The manual says you have to be very careful when controlling the temperature of the device, but this isn't always possible in a car or truck that isn't garaged 24/7. The device will also show the wrong gear when going up or down a hill (even after recalibrating) as it partially calibrates itself based on the angle of the stick. my hand. There was no screw or snap connection, the top of the unit was attached to the bottom with glue which broke and fell apart after a year. The warranty on the Indy-Cator was 2 years, but there seems to be confusion as to who is responsible for enforcing it. I don't blame Revain, they have great customer service and are always very helpful, but the interaction between them and the company has not been good. After 2 months the problem has not been resolved and I have not received a refund. For the combination of a very high price, very bad design, a lot of work and bad customer service, I only give this product 2 stars.
