More than expected and more than expected. But not more than I wanted. I am so happy with this purchase. I can turn on my regular stereo and extend it to other rooms without sacrificing sound quality, and still have quality speakers in any room just by picking up a button and pressing it. This is a great extension of my "mood" to music, which I really need in everyday life. Sounds great, works great. Most of the time I leave it on because I like it loud. For true music fans today, volume means pride and energy. I don't give him as many chances to dodge as it allows me.
