Review on K KNODEL Microfiber Leather Car Steering Wheel Cover in Gray - Universal Fit 15 Inch Wheel Protector by Kaushik Hall

Good price but not as nice as the more expensive options

I put this on my son's Corolla and it fits well and is pretty easy to install. I'm just asking you to line it up properly so it doesn't look off center and then straighten it out and work the sides and then the bottom on the handlebars - pretty easy and took about 1-2 minutes. The item arrived folded and I followed the instructions to unfold it and smooth out the creases caused by folding the packaging. But they came out after about 5-10 minutes of stretching and then left them for a couple of hours. Two small creases remain. I didn't bother using a heat gun to try and get it perfect as I figured the crease might show up during installation or after a few weeks of riding. Unfortunately, this did not happen and small wrinkles are still visible. It may not bother others, but it annoys me personally (OCD? maybe). I'm also not a fan of the look of the material. I have fitted various other covers to other cars in the past and I like the smoother look and feel of the perforated leather more than the soft 'microfiber' look and feel. It just doesn't look or feel "upscale" or "classy." Note that these other cases were 2-3 times more expensive, and some of them also kept the folds of the packaging (and others didn't - mostly the ones that weren't folded much, which probably makes shipping more expensive). On the plus side, I think the microfiber material used will likely feel cooler if you get into a very hot car in the summer months, so maybe that's the goal here (along with the lower price point). WHAT I LIKE: *cheap, great value (currently around $9 with free Prime shipping to your door) *stays cool in hot weather *easy installation *fits perfectly *love the black and red color scheme on my WAS I FOUND T LIKE: * Delivered folded and I couldn't get it to fold (haven't tried a heat gun yet, maybe I'll give it a try) * Doesn't look as good as soft perforated leather * Doesn't feel as strong like soft perforated leather. SUMMARY: Inexpensive, easy to apply, good fit for a steering wheel cover that stays cool in a hot car but doesn't look or feel as good as the more expensive smooth leather options.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was
