Strong call clarity but build quality is ok

I used to use a Panasonic cordless phone and it lasted more than 10 years so I wanted to try it. Right out of the box I noticed that the build quality of this model is reasonable, but it's an improvement over the previous Panasonic phone I had that I bought in the early 2000s. The plastic seems a bit thinner and not as well put together. Unfortunately, the navigation system isn't as perfect as the previous model I had either. For the older one, all I had to do was press a button and I was on the right screen to delete missed calls. This newer one required a few more steps that were frustrating. Accessing other menu items is also a bit clunky. On the other hand, there are many ringtone options (much more than on my old model). And most importantly, the clarity of the calls is very strong. It's also nice to have a wired base along with two cordless handsets with their own speakers. Other pluses include the ability to block unwanted numbers and the ability to use standard AAA rechargeable batteries (my old Panasonic required an exclusive battery model that was hard to find). very good, but build quality is so-so and navigating the menu system can be a bit awkward. I would say only buy it if you can find it at a really good retail price.

Pros
  • Nice looks
Cons
  • Price piggy bank
