I did a lot of research before purchasing these mats. They are easy to assemble and the grid lines are easy to see and align. And there is absolutely NO chemical smell, which has been a big problem with many other brands. They are numbered, but there were no instructions as to why and how to arrange by number. But they were basically the same, so I didn't really pay attention to the numbers. Very happy with this purchase!
