Review on 🌡️ GQ GMC 500 Radiation Detector Dosimeter: Accurate and Reliable Radiation Measurement for Personal Safety by Ronald Reese

This is my second GMC 500+ Geiger Counter. Certainly for $$ these tools are feature packed and work as advertised as they can detect harder beta and gamma/x-rays in a compact, pocket-sized box. Outwardly they also seem robust, but for some reason my first device mysteriously stopped detecting radiation after a couple of years! Customer service at GQ electronics is a bit difficult to deal with - there doesn't seem to be a repair service. Obviously they expect you to simply replace a failed tool, which probably makes sense given the cost. I've kept my unit in perfect condition and the tubes haven't been exposed to excessive radiation, so there's no reason why they should have failed, but after extensive testing, it turns out that's exactly what happened. Definitely, if you are looking for a multi-function (recording/logging, graphics, Wi-Fi support, remote internet monitoring, long time internal rechargeable/external power supply - do I need to continue?) radiation detector, I highly recommend this device at an incredibly affordable price. I just hope I can live off this for more than a few years!
