Our 16 year old cat has lost the ability to use her hind legs but is still able to walk on her front legs. Unfortunately he can no longer use the litter box and we were afraid to lock him in the cage. He still has that spark in him despite his illness, which is why we tried dog diapers. Talk about saving grace! Once we got used to putting them on properly, we had no leaks at all. Now and then he poops out of his tail hole, but I can't blame the diaper for that, that's the nature of things. It's a bit pricey and I'll admit we tried using human diapers for newborns because they're a lot cheaper, but cutting out the hole for the tail made them leak like he wasn't wearing anything at all. So back to them and this brand offers the best deal I have ever found. Kitty seems to understand the need for his "cat addiction" and has even learned to come to us and let us know when he needs to change. So glad I found this product!
